A hotel for simplicity
Reception, housekeeping and breakfast: ideal for a short stay or if you want someone to turn to if something goes wrong.
An apartment for space
A kitchen and more room, useful for a group, a family or a long stay. Think about cleaning fees and check-in times.
The budget question
Compare the total price per person, fees included. For a couple on 3 nights, a hotel is often just as good value.
Our advice
For a first stay in a city, a hotel is often more reassuring. For 5 nights or more in a group, look at apartments too.
